Oneida Heritage will be on site at Fort Stanwix to discuss and present the Oneida peoples way of life during the French and Indian war 1754- 1763. Fort Stanwix was built in the year 1758 by the British to protect the waterway along the route from the Mohawk river to Oneida Lake. During this time period that was the main route from trading posts in NY City to trading post on Lake Ontario.
There will be a small encampment set up during the two day event where the Oneida will be presenting and demonstrating war technics, fighting weapons, and overall life style.
Come and enjoy the event and meet the Oneida Heritage folks!
We are always looking for volunteers, so if your interested in being part of the group give us a call at (315)363-1735
